The Pitco Actuator, 24VDC, 1 IPS, LH is a genuine OEM replacement linear actuator for Pitco automated filter systems, operating at 24 VDC with a 1-inch-per-second travel speed and left-hand mounting orientation. The left-hand designation specifies the mounting geometry required when the actuator is installed on the left side of the fryer drain valve as viewed from the front. Using the correct OEM left-hand actuator ensures proper alignment between the actuator drive shaft and the ball valve stem in the left-hand installation position.

Over time, the original actuator can fail from internal gear wear, motor coil burnout, or mechanical binding caused by misalignment introduced during a previous service. A failed actuator prevents the drain valve from completing its full open or close stroke, making automated filtration incomplete or impossible. Installing the correct LH replacement actuator restores full travel to the drain valve.

The actuator mounts to the ball valve body using the integrated bracket in the left-hand orientation and is wired to the filter control board's actuator output. It is recommended to replace the actuator whenever the filter system fault codes indicate incomplete valve travel or when the drain valve does not open or close fully during the filter cycle. Pairing the new actuator installation with a filtration cycle run test will confirm the left-hand valve is completing its full travel correctly.
