The Pitco Actuator, 24VDC, 1 IPS, RH is a genuine OEM replacement linear actuator for Pitco automated filter systems, operating at 24 VDC with a 1-inch-per-second travel speed and right-hand mounting orientation. The right-hand designation specifies the mounting geometry required when the actuator is installed on the right side of the fryer drain valve as viewed from the front. Using the correct OEM right-hand actuator ensures proper drive shaft alignment with the ball valve stem in the right-hand installation position.
Over time, the original actuator can fail from internal gear wear, motor coil burnout, or mechanical binding from corrosion of the drive mechanism caused by steam and cleaning chemical exposure. A failed actuator prevents the drain valve from opening or closing fully during the automated filter cycle, leaving oil in the filter pan or the vat partially drained. Installing the correct RH replacement actuator restores complete and correctly aligned valve travel.
The actuator mounts to the ball valve body using the integrated bracket in the right-hand orientation and connects to the filter control board's actuator output circuit. It is recommended to replace the actuator whenever incomplete valve travel is indicated by filter system fault codes or observed during a manual filter cycle test. Pairing the new actuator installation with a filtration cycle run test will confirm the right-hand valve is completing its full stroke and the automated filter sequence is executing correctly.
