The Pitco Computer, MDG/MG/ME14 is a genuine OEM replacement digital fryer control computer for Pitco MDG (Multi-battery Digital Gas), MG (Multi-battery Gas), and ME14 (Multi-battery Electric 14-inch) commercial fryer models. It manages temperature control, cook timers, and filter cycle prompts across the shared control architecture common to these three model families. Using the correct OEM computer ensures the firmware, probe input configuration, and output relay ratings are appropriate for whichever MDG, MG, or ME14 fryer it is installed in.
Over time, the original computer can develop display failures, relay contact wear from the high cycle rate of multi-battery fryer operations, or probe communication faults from the long wiring runs inherent in multi-fryer battery installations. A malfunctioning control computer in a battery configuration can disable an entire bank of fryers and disrupt kitchen throughput significantly. Installing the replacement computer restores full automation and temperature management to the affected fryer.
The computer installs in the original control panel location using existing hardware and the original wiring harness connectors. It is recommended to replace the computer when fryer control faults cannot be resolved by probe or wiring replacement, particularly when multiple fryers in a battery share the same symptom pattern.
