The Pitco Basket Wiring, 14 x 18 Trip, Black Handle is a genuine OEM replacement wiring harness for Pitco commercial fryers equipped with a 14-by-18-inch motorized basket lift system with trip-release basket hanger and black-handled baskets. The harness connects the basket lift motor and trip-release mechanism to the fryer's basket lift driver board, enabling the automated end-of-cook basket raise and product release sequence. Using the correct OEM harness ensures the conductor specification and connector types are matched to the 14 x 18 Trip lift system's electrical interface.
Over time, the original basket wiring harness can suffer insulation degradation near the vat from radiant heat, connector pin corrosion from oil vapor and steam, or conductor fatigue breaks at flex points near the moving basket lift carriage. These faults cause intermittent basket lift failures or loss of the trip-release function, eliminating the automated product dumping cycle. Installing the replacement harness restores reliable electrical continuity to both the lift motor and trip mechanism.
The harness is routed through the original cable management provisions in the fryer cabinet and terminated at both the driver board and the lift motor and trip solenoid connectors.
