The Pitco Envelope Filter, 20.5 x 9.92, Center Hole is a genuine OEM replacement envelope-style filter media for Pitco commercial fryer oil filtration systems, measuring 20.5 by 9.92 inches with a center mounting hole for the filter pan standpipe. It captures carbonized food particles, crumbs, and breakdown products from the cooking oil during the filtration cycle, extending oil life and maintaining food quality. Using the correct OEM filter with the center hole ensures a precise fit over the standpipe with no bypass gap that could allow unfiltered oil to pass.
Over time, repeated filtration cycles cause the filter media to accumulate an increasing load of carbon and oil breakdown products, reducing its permeability and increasing filtration time and pump back-pressure. An overloaded or wrong-sized filter media allows contaminated oil to bypass the media edges or restricts flow to the point that the pump cannot complete the return cycle. Installing the correct size OEM envelope filter ensures full-coverage, low-bypass filtration at the rated pump flow.
The filter slides over the center standpipe in the filter pan and lays flat on the pan floor before oil is drained for filtration. It is recommended to replace the envelope filter at every filtration cycle or sooner if the oil appears heavily contaminated with carbonized debris. Pairing regular filter changes with a weekly deep cleaning of the filter pan will give the oil management system maximum filtration efficiency and the longest possible oil life.
