PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Pitco B6671203 Filter Strainer Cap Assembly, SOS is an OEM replacement part engineered for Pitco commercial fryers and filtration systems. Designed to support reliable operation, safety, and performance during service and maintenance.

Details
The Pitco Filter Strainer Cap Assembly, SOS is a genuine OEM replacement strainer cap assembly for Pitco SOS (Shortening Overnight Storage) oil management systems. It seals and strains the oil outlet port of the SOS system, preventing food particles and crumb debris from entering the oil transfer and storage circuit. Using the correct OEM assembly ensures the correct mesh size, cap threading, and seal dimensions for the SOS system's oil outlet.
Over time, the original strainer cap can suffer mesh tearing, weld failure at the cap body, or thread damage from repeated removal during daily cleaning, allowing unfiltered debris to enter the oil storage and return circuit. Contaminated oil in the SOS circuit carries carbon particles back into the fryer vat, accelerating oil breakdown and degrading food quality. Installing the replacement strainer cap assembly restores full debris exclusion at the SOS outlet.
The cap assembly threads onto the SOS oil outlet port by hand or with a strap wrench and is removed for cleaning during each filter cycle. It is recommended to inspect the strainer mesh and cap threads during every daily filter cleaning and replace the assembly whenever the mesh is torn or the cap threads no longer seal correctly. Pairing the new strainer cap with a flush of the SOS transfer hoses will give the entire oil management circuit clean and protected operation.
