The Pitco Wiring, Probe Service Kit, SG Fast is a genuine OEM replacement wiring and temperature probe service kit for Pitco Solstice Gas fryers equipped with the Fast open-vat configuration. It includes the temperature sensing probe and associated wiring harness needed to restore accurate oil temperature feedback to the fryer's digital control computer. Using the correct OEM kit ensures the probe's resistance curve and connector pinout match the SG Fast fryer's control system exactly.
Over time, the original temperature probe can drift out of calibration, develop open-circuit failures from fatigue cracks in the sensing element, or suffer intermittent readings due to corroded or heat-damaged wiring insulation and connector terminals. Inaccurate probe signals cause the fryer to operate at the wrong oil temperature, leading to undercooked product, excessive oil breakdown, or nuisance high-limit shutdowns. Installing this service kit replaces both the sensing element and the wiring in a single service event.
The probe installs in the original vat mounting boss and the harness connects to the control computer's sensor input. It is recommended to replace the probe and wiring whenever temperature readings deviate more than five degrees from a calibrated reference thermometer or when intermittent fault codes related to the probe circuit appear. Pairing this kit installation with a control computer recalibration step will give the SG Fast fryer precise and consistent temperature control.
