The Pitco Filter Pan Weldment, Black Handle, Silver is a genuine OEM replacement stainless steel filter pan weldment with a black-coated handle for Pitco commercial fryer filtration systems. The silver stainless body provides the oil collection basin and filter media housing, while the black handle allows the operator to pull the hot filter pan safely without direct contact with the stainless steel body. Using the correct OEM weldment ensures proper fit under the fryer cabinet, correct positioning of drain and pump ports, and a handle that meets Pitco's heat insulation specification.
Over time, the original filter pan weldment can develop weld cracks from thermal stress, a loose or damaged handle from repeated pulling under loaded conditions, or warped flanges from the sustained heat of holding hot cooking oil. A cracked weld or failed handle creates a catastrophic hot oil spill risk during normal filter pan removal. Installing the replacement weldment provides a structurally sound basin with a properly attached, heat-insulated handle.
The weldment slides or rolls into position under the fryer and connects to the drain and pump fittings using the existing hardware. It is recommended to inspect the weld seams and handle attachment at every filter service and replace the weldment immediately if any cracks or handle looseness are detected.
