The Pitco Pilot Assembly Plate, Electric Ignition Sensor, Natural is a genuine OEM replacement pilot burner assembly plate with an integrated electronic ignition spark electrode and flame sensor for Pitco natural gas commercial fryers. It provides the ignition spark to light the pilot flame and the flame rod signal that confirms pilot ignition to the gas valve safety circuit before main burner gas is admitted. Using the correct OEM assembly ensures the spark gap, flame rod position, and gas orifice size are calibrated for natural gas ignition performance on Pitco fryers.

Over time, the original pilot assembly can suffer carbon fouling of the spark electrode tip, flame rod contamination that reduces the flame current signal below the gas valve's lockout threshold, or corrosion of the pilot orifice from condensate in the gas supply. These failures result in ignition lockouts, nuisance shutdowns, or a pilot that lights but fails to hold the main valve open. Installing the replacement assembly provides a fresh spark electrode, flame rod, and clean orifice for reliable natural gas ignition.

The assembly plate mounts in the original pilot mounting location in the fryer burner area and connects to the existing ignition cable and flame rod lead. It is recommended to replace the pilot assembly during every annual preventive maintenance service and immediately upon any recurring ignition lockout.
