PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Pitco PP10962 Ball Valve, 1-1/4 CI, with Locking Handle is an OEM replacement part engineered for Pitco commercial fryers and filtration systems. Designed to support reliable operation, safety, and performance during service and maintenance.

Details
The Pitco Ball Valve, 1-1/4 CI, with Locking Handle is a genuine OEM replacement 1-1/4 inch cast iron body ball valve with a locking handle for Pitco commercial fryer oil drain and filter system lines. The locking handle mechanism prevents inadvertent valve operation and allows the valve to be secured in the closed position during service and cleaning procedures. Using the correct OEM valve ensures the 1-1/4 inch port sizing, body material rating, and locking handle geometry match the Pitco filtration system plumbing.
Over time, the original ball valve can develop seat leakage from scoring by carbon and food debris, stem packing leaks, or a seized ball from thermal cycling and lack of exercise during periods of infrequent filtration. A leaking or seized drain valve creates a hot oil spill hazard and prevents proper filtration system operation. Installing the replacement valve with a new, undamaged seat and ball restores a tight shutoff and smooth quarter-turn operation.
The valve installs in the existing 1-1/4 inch NPT drain line connections using pipe thread sealant and hand tools. It is recommended to exercise the drain ball valve at every filter cycle to prevent seizing and to replace it whenever seat leakage is observed or the ball is difficult to turn. Pairing the new valve with a lubrication of the stem packing and a post-installation leak test will give the fryer drain circuit a dependable and safely lockable shutoff.
