The Pitco Water Valve, 3/8", Solenoid Diaphragm, 24VAC is a genuine OEM replacement 3/8-inch solenoid-operated diaphragm water valve for Pitco commercial pasta cookers and boil-out fill systems, operating on a 24VAC control signal. It opens automatically when energized by the liquid level control or fill timer to admit water into the cooking vessel and closes when the target level or fill time is reached. Using the correct OEM 24VAC solenoid diaphragm valve ensures the coil voltage, flow rate, and diaphragm material are matched to the Pitco equipment's water management system.
Over time, the original solenoid diaphragm valve can develop diaphragm cracking from water pressure cycling and chemical exposure, solenoid coil burnout from continuous energization during fill periods, or calcium scale buildup on the valve seat that prevents a full seal when the valve is de-energized. A failed valve results in no fill, continuous fill overflow, or a dripping seat that wastes water and energy. Installing the replacement valve restores automatic, precise water fill control.
The valve installs in-line on the 3/8" water supply line and connects to the 24VAC control circuit using the existing wiring. It is recommended to replace the solenoid diaphragm valve whenever fill behavior is erratic or the valve fails to open or close completely on a 24VAC command. Pairing the new valve with a descaling flush of the water supply line and an inspection of the level control probes will give the water management system fully reliable automatic fill performance.
