The Pressure Regulator 3/4" LP For Blodgett Part# 10248 is a compatible aftermarket replacement gas pressure regulator for use in Blodgett commercial convection ovens, deck ovens, and combination cooking equipment. The gas pressure regulator reduces and stabilizes the incoming gas supply pressure to the precise operating pressure required by Blodgett burner systems, ensuring consistent gas flow regardless of fluctuations in the building supply line pressure.
Proper gas supply pressure is critical to the operation of Blodgett gas equipment. Too high a pressure results in an overfired burner with excessive heat output, potential sooting, and safety hazards. Too low a pressure produces insufficient heat output and inconsistent cooking results. The regulator maintains the correct downstream pressure across the full range of burner firing rates.
Symptoms of a failing pressure regulator include inconsistent oven temperatures, burners that fire with a larger or smaller flame than normal, gas pressure test readings outside of the specified range, or audible regulator chatter or surging. Regulators can also fail open or fail closed, with either outcome disrupting normal equipment operation.
Pressure regulator replacement should be performed by a qualified gas appliance technician. Shut off the main gas supply upstream of the regulator.
