This is a replacement Pump Seal (part# 5330-002-87-16) designed for Jackson commercial warewashing equipment, including undercounter dishwashers, door-type dishwashers, flight-type conveyor dishwashers, glass washers, and pot & pan washers. The pump seal is a critical component that prevents water and detergent solution from leaking past the pump shaft, maintaining system pressure and protecting the motor from water damage.
Pump seals fail due to prolonged exposure to high-temperature water, detergent chemicals, and continuous pressure fluctuations inherent in commercial warewashing cycles. Common failure symptoms include visible leaking around the pump shaft, reduced wash pressure, water pooling beneath the equipment, and motor bearing noise indicating water ingress. Neglecting to replace a failing pump seal leads to progressive water contamination of the motor, electrical hazards, complete pump failure, and extensive equipment downtime and repair costs.
Installation requires disassembling the pump housing and is best performed by qualified technicians familiar with Jackson equipment design.
