The Push Switch 7/16 Spst (Part# 077196-1) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement push switch for use in Cleveland commercial steamer and cooking equipment control panels. Push switches provide momentary or latching control inputs for specific equipment functions, allowing operators to initiate cooking cycles, reset timers, or trigger safety interlocks as required by the equipment design.
Push switches experience wear from repeated mechanical actuation cycles that are normal in a busy commercial kitchen environment. Common failure modes include stuck actuators that do not return properly after being pressed, intermittent contact that causes unreliable function triggering, or complete contact failure that renders the controlled function inoperable. Kitchen moisture and cleaning chemical exposure can also corrode internal contacts over time.
Switch replacement should be performed by a qualified technician with the unit de-energized and locked out at the main power source. Remove the applicable control panel section, disconnect all wiring from the old switch, and release the switch from its panel mounting. Install the new Push Switch 7/16 Spst in the correct orientation, reconnect all wiring per the wiring diagram, and perform functional testing to confirm proper operation before returning the equipment to commercial service.
