The Pitco Regulator Conversion Lp is a direct replacement LP gas regulator conversion component for Pitco commercial gas fryers. It replaces the natural gas pressure regulator with one calibrated to the higher pressure requirements of liquefied petroleum gas, enabling the fryer to operate correctly on LP fuel. Using the correct LP regulator ensures the proper outlet pressure for the LP gas orifice set installed in the fryer, maintaining correct burner heat output.

Over time, or when converting a natural gas fryer to LP service, the natural gas regulator must be replaced because it maintains a lower outlet pressure than required for LP gas orifices, resulting in insufficient heat output, unstable burner performance, and incomplete combustion. A mismatched regulator can cause sooting, flame rollout, or a fryer that cannot reach the desired cooking temperature. Installing the replacement LP regulator conversion part ensures the gas valve delivers the correct outlet pressure for safe LP operation.

The LP regulator replaces the existing regulator at the gas valve following the conversion kit instructions and must be installed by a qualified service technician. It is recommended to measure gas valve outlet pressure with a manometer after installation and compare it to the fryer's LP specification. Pairing regulator conversion with a complete LP orifice set replacement and a full combustion check will ensure the fryer is fully and safely converted to LP gas service.
