The Pitco Relay - 24Vdc is a direct replacement 24-volt DC relay for Pitco commercial fryers. It is actuated by the fryer's DC control circuit and switches a separate load circuit — such as a solenoid, indicator, or pump — on and off as commanded by the control system. Using the correct relay ensures proper DC coil impedance, contact rating, and pin layout for the specific Pitco control board or relay socket.
Over time, relay contacts degrade from arcing during switching, and the DC coil can fail from reverse-polarity events, voltage spikes, or sustained coil heating in a high-ambient-temperature control enclosure, causing the relay to fail open or closed and disrupting the function it controls. A failed 24Vdc relay can prevent critical fryer subsystems from operating correctly. Replacing the relay with a compatible part restores reliable low-voltage DC switching.
Most 24Vdc relays in Pitco fryers mount in a plug-in socket, making replacement a simple pull-and-replace operation after power is disconnected.
