The Relay 3P 10A 12Vdc (Part# KE50753-7) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement relay for use in Cleveland commercial cooking and steamer equipment control systems. Relays are electrically operated switches that use a low-current control signal from the control board or thermostat to switch a higher-current circuit that powers heating elements, motors, solenoids, or other electrical loads, matched to the correct coil voltage, contact rating, and mounting configuration.
Relays are subject to contact wear from the repeated switching of high-current loads, and coil failure from overheating, voltage irregularities, or moisture ingress. A faulty relay may cause the controlled load to fail to energize, remain permanently energized, or operate intermittently. A relay with worn contacts may also exhibit a distinctive buzzing or chattering sound under load, which is an early warning sign of impending contact failure.
Relay replacement should be performed by a qualified service technician with the equipment fully de-energized. Note all wiring connections on the old relay, remove it from its mounting socket or panel position, and install the new Relay 3P 10A 12Vdc in the same location. Reconnect all wiring, restore power, and verify that the relay energizes and de-energizes correctly in response to control signals by cycling the controlled function multiple times before returning the unit to service.
