The Pitco Rocker Switch 7/8 X 1-1/2 DPDT Ctr-On is a direct replacement double-pole double-throw center-on rocker switch for Pitco commercial fryers. This momentary or maintained center-on switch simultaneously controls two independent circuit poles and is used in applications where a fryer function must be activated from a default center-energized state. Using the correct part ensures the proper contact ratings for both poles and a precise 7/8 x 1-1/2 inch panel fit.

Over time, the dual contact sets in a DPDT switch are subject to combined wear from arcing and oxidation, and the center-on detent or spring mechanism can fatigue, causing the switch to fail to return to or hold the center position. These failures can disrupt the fryer functions governed by both switched poles simultaneously. Replacing the switch with a compatible DPDT Ctr-On unit restores reliable two-pole switching with correct center-state behavior.

Installation follows the standard rocker switch panel-clip procedure, with wiring carefully transferred to the matching rear terminals of the new switch. It is recommended to replace the switch whenever either pole shows intermittent contact or the center-on position fails to function as expected. Pairing switch replacement with a full multi-pole continuity test and a review of the wiring diagram will ensure all circuit paths are correctly restored before the fryer is returned to service.
