PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Rocker Switch 7/8 X 1-1/2 Dpdt for Jackson Part# 5930-301-53-00

Details
The 7/8 X 1-1/2 DPDT rocker switch (part number 5930-301-53-00) is a replacement electrical switch designed for Jackson undercounter dishwashers, door-type dishwashers, glass washers, and pot & pan washers. This double-pole double-throw rocker switch provides a larger, more ergonomic control interface for operators to select between alternate electrical circuits, suitable for applications requiring mode selection or the ability to activate opposing functions from a single switch position.
Rocker switches fail through wear of the internal rocking mechanism, contact degradation from repeated switching cycles, or water and detergent intrusion into the switch cavity. Failure indicators include a loose or unresponsive rocker, switches that stick in one position, or intermittent loss of electrical continuity. A malfunctioning rocker switch can prevent proper function selection or leave equipment unable to switch between critical operational modes, resulting in equipment downtime and limiting operational flexibility.
Installation requires qualified technicians to safely disconnect power, remove the control panel fascia, and access switch terminals. The replacement switch must be carefully installed with proper alignment to ensure the rocker seats fully and moves freely in both directions. Maintenance includes regular inspection of the rocker for cracks or looseness, keeping the switch area clean and dry to prevent water intrusion, and testing both switch positions to confirm proper electrical continuity in each mode.
