The Pitco Rocker Switch 9/16 X 1-1/8 SPST is a direct replacement single-pole single-throw rocker switch for Pitco commercial fryers. It provides straightforward on/off control of a single circuit through a rocker-style actuator that fits a 9/16 x 1-1/8 inch panel cutout. Using the correct switch ensures the proper contact rating, lens color (if equipped), and body dimensions for a precise, secure panel fit.
Over time, rocker switch contacts degrade from electrical arcing during switching, while the rocker pivot and detent mechanism can wear or break, causing the switch to feel loose, fail to latch, or lose electrical continuity in one or both positions. In a commercial kitchen environment, grease infiltration can accelerate contact contamination and mechanical wear. Replacing the switch with a compatible part restores positive latching action and reliable circuit control.
The switch presses into its panel cutout and is retained by integrated clips, with wiring connected to the rear spade terminals. It is recommended to replace the rocker switch whenever the operator reports a loose feel, intermittent on/off performance, or a failed indicator lamp within the switch body.
