PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Safety Thermostat Lc117, 1/4 X 5, 48 for Cleveland Part# KE55069-7

Details
The Safety Thermostat Lc117, 1/4 X 5, 48 (Part# KE55069-7) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement safety thermostat for use in Cleveland commercial steamer and cooking equipment. Safety thermostats serve as high-limit temperature cutout devices that interrupt power to the heating circuit when the equipment reaches an unsafe operating temperature, providing critical protection against overheating conditions that could damage the equipment or create a fire hazard in the kitchen.
Safety thermostats are designed to trip at a set temperature threshold and may be either auto-reset or manual-reset type depending on the equipment model. A tripped safety thermostat is often the first indication of an underlying problem such as a failed operating thermostat or a blocked air or steam path. The thermostat itself can also fail in the open position due to age or thermal fatigue, preventing the equipment from reaching operating temperature.
Before replacing a safety thermostat, a qualified technician should investigate whether an overtemperature condition caused it to trip or fail, as replacing the thermostat without addressing an underlying fault will result in repeat failures. With the unit fully de-energized, locate the thermostat on the equipment chassis, disconnect the wiring leads, and remove the mounting fasteners. Install the new Safety Thermostat Lc117, 1/4 X 5, 48 in the same location, reconnect the leads, and monitor the operating temperature through a full heating cycle to confirm correct function.
