PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Safety Valve 3/4"M X 3/4"F for Cleveland Part# 076005-3

Details
The Safety Valve 3/4"M X 3/4"F (Part# 076005-3) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement safety valve for use in Cleveland commercial steam-jacketed kettles and steamer equipment. Safety valves are pressure-relief devices that automatically vent steam from the jacket or pressure vessel when operating pressure exceeds the rated safety limit, protecting the equipment and kitchen staff from the hazards of an over-pressurized steam system.
Safety valves are critical safety devices that must be inspected regularly and replaced when they show signs of leakage, corrosion, or failure to reseat properly after a relief event. A safety valve that weeps or fails to fully close after venting wastes steam and creates scalding hazards. Conversely, a valve that fails to open at the rated set point can allow system pressure to rise to dangerous levels — neither condition is acceptable in a commercial kitchen setting.
Safety valve replacement must be performed by a qualified technician or licensed steam fitter with the steam jacket fully depressurized, cooled, and all energy sources isolated. Remove the existing valve from its threaded connection, inspect the port and surrounding fitting for corrosion or damage, and install the new Safety Valve 3/4"M X 3/4"F using appropriate thread sealant rated for steam service. Bring the system up to operating pressure and verify that the valve holds at normal operating pressure and actuates at the correct relief set point.
