The Pitco Solenoid - 24V is a direct replacement 24-volt solenoid for Pitco commercial gas fryers. It is an electrically operated valve component that opens or closes in response to a 24V signal from the fryer's control system, regulating gas or fluid flow within the fryer's operating circuit. Using the correct 24V solenoid ensures the proper coil impedance, flow orifice size, and connection type for the specific Pitco application.
Over time, the solenoid coil can fail from insulation breakdown caused by prolonged energization in high-ambient-temperature environments, and the plunger and seat can wear or stick from contamination, causing the solenoid to fail to open or close on command. A failed solenoid can prevent the burner from receiving gas, leave a gas circuit permanently open, or disrupt another fluid circuit within the fryer. Replacing the solenoid with a compatible 24V unit restores responsive, reliable valve control.
