PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Solenoid Valve 1/2" 110/120V for Cleveland Part# 22244

Details
The Solenoid Valve 1/2" 110/120V (Part# 22244) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement solenoid valve for use in Cleveland commercial steamer and cooking equipment. Solenoid valves are electrically actuated flow control devices that open and close the water or steam supply to the cooking compartment, boiler, or jacket in response to signals from the control system, matched to the correct port size, pressure rating, and coil voltage for direct compatibility with Cleveland steamer controls.
Solenoid valves are subject to wear from the continuous open-close cycling that occurs during normal steamer operation and can fail due to mineral scale buildup on the valve seat, coil burnout, or diaphragm fatigue. A failed solenoid valve may present as a unit that does not fill with water, a continuous drip or overflow condition when the valve should be closed, or a compartment that fails to build steam pressure.
Solenoid valve replacement should be completed by a qualified service technician with the unit de-energized and the water supply shut off. Remove the valve from the water supply line, disconnect the coil wiring, and install the new Solenoid Valve 1/2" 110/120V in the same orientation — paying attention to flow direction as marked on the valve body. Reconnect the wiring and water supply, restore power, and cycle the steamer through a full fill and cooking sequence to verify that the valve opens and closes properly without leakage.
