The Pitco Switch is a direct replacement electrical switch for Pitco commercial fryers and filter systems. It controls the flow of electrical current in the circuit it governs, providing the operator or an automated control system with the ability to enable or disable a specific fryer function. Using the correct switch ensures the appropriate contact rating, terminal configuration, and mounting style for the specific application within the fryer.
Over time, switch contacts can wear, pit, or oxidize from the electrical arcing and chemical environment of a commercial kitchen, while the actuator mechanism may stiffen or break from repeated use, leading to intermittent contact, stuck positions, or complete switching failure. A failed switch can disable the function it controls — whether heating, filtration, lighting, or another circuit — taking a portion of the fryer out of service. Replacing the switch with a compatible part restores reliable circuit control and normal fryer operation.
