The tactile rocker actuator provides clear on-off indication and a positive-feel action appropriate for commercial kitchen use. Using the correct DPDT switch ensures the proper panel fit, current rating per pole, and terminal layout for the specific Pitco application.

Over time, the contacts in a DPDT switch can wear unevenly across the two poles, causing one circuit branch to fail while the other continues to operate, leading to confusing partial-function symptoms that are difficult to diagnose without electrical testing. Grease and moisture infiltration into the actuator housing accelerates contact corrosion and can cause both poles to fail simultaneously.
