PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Tape, Fiberglass , 3/4" X 54' for Pitco Part# PTPP10775

Details
The Pitco Tape, Fiberglass , 3/4" X 54' is a direct replacement fiberglass insulation tape for Pitco commercial fryers, used to seal, insulate, and secure high-temperature components within the fryer's burner and heat exchanger areas. At 3/4 inch wide and 54 feet long, the roll provides ample material for multiple service applications including re-wrapping insulated joints, securing heat shields, and sealing gaps in thermal insulation that would otherwise allow heat loss or create localized hot spots. Using the correct fiberglass tape ensures temperature resistance appropriate for the extreme heat environment inside a commercial gas fryer.
Over time, fiberglass tape used in fryer applications can degrade from sustained high-temperature exposure, becoming brittle, crumbling, or losing adhesion and exposing the underlying joint or insulation layer. Degraded tape on heat exchanger joints or burner connections can increase heat loss, create irregular temperature distribution, or allow combustion gases to migrate to unintended areas within the fryer cabinet. Replacing deteriorated fiberglass tape with the Pitco-compatible material restores the thermal seal and insulation integrity the fryer requires for safe and efficient operation.
Application requires clean, dry surfaces for proper adhesion; the tape is applied by hand with overlapping wraps as needed to create a secure seal. It is recommended to inspect insulation tape during every major service event and to replace any sections showing brittleness, crumbling, or separation from the underlying surface. Pairing fiberglass tape maintenance with a thorough inspection of surrounding heat exchanger seals, burner gaskets, and flue connections ensures the entire combustion and heat transfer system remains properly sealed.
