PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Introducing our Thermopile, 18 inches long with 2 leads, designed for Pitco, part # 60125501.

Details
The Pitco Thermopile 18" 2 Lead T-Pile-Armor is a direct replacement armored thermopile for Pitco commercial gas fryers, featuring an 18-inch overall length and a two-lead connection designed for use with gas valves requiring a dual-connection thermopile circuit. The armor sheathing over the lead wires protects them from heat damage, grease exposure, and mechanical abrasion in the high-temperature environment near the fryer's burner assembly. Using the correct armored thermopile ensures the proper lead length, output voltage, and connector type for the specific Pitco models that require this configuration.
Over time, even armored thermopile leads can suffer from sheath cracking, lead wire fraying at the connector ends, or degradation of the thermoelectric junctions that reduce millivolt output below the gas valve's minimum holding threshold. When output falls too low, the gas valve closes and the fryer cannot maintain a pilot flame, halting production and requiring a service call. Replacing the worn thermopile with the Pitco-compatible 18-inch armored unit restores full rated output and reliable gas valve operation across the entire service life of the pilot system.
Installation requires removing the old thermopile from the pilot assembly, threading in the replacement to the correct torque, routing the leads away from high-heat zones, and reconnecting to the gas valve terminals. It is recommended to use a millivolt meter to verify output voltage both before and after replacement and to re-secure the lead armor with a zip tie to keep wiring away from heat sources. Pairing thermopile replacement with a pilot burner inspection and gas valve connection tightening will eliminate the most common causes of pilot outage on Pitco gas fryers.
