The Pitco Toggle Switch 1/2 3PDT, Ctr-Off is a direct replacement three-pole double-throw center-off toggle switch for Pitco commercial fryers. Its three independently switched poles make it suitable for multi-phase or multi-circuit control applications where the operator must select between two states or isolate all circuits in the off position. Using the correct switch ensures the proper contact ratings for all three poles, correct mounting thread, and reliable center-off detent action.
Over time, the multiple contact sets in a 3PDT switch are subject to wear, arcing damage, and oxidation, while the center-off detent mechanism can fatigue and fail to hold, leading to unintended circuit activation or loss of multi-pole switching control.
