PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Toggle Switch 1/2 Spdt, Ctr-Off for Jackson Part# 5930-301-41-00

Details
The 1/2 SPDT center-off toggle switch (part number 5930-301-41-00) is a replacement electrical switch designed for Jackson undercounter dishwashers, door-type dishwashers, flight-type conveyor dishwashers, and glass washers. This single-pole double-throw switch with center-off position allows operators to select between two operational states or activate neutral with a middle detent position, ideal for applications requiring three distinct positions including a safe off-position.
Toggle switches experience failure from repeated mechanical actuation cycles, causing internal contact wear or weakening of the switch mechanism. Symptoms include loose or difficult toggle movement, switches that don't fully engage positions, a lost or weak center detent, or intermittent electrical connection loss resulting in unreliable mode selection. A failing center-off switch can prevent proper equipment safety by losing the neutral position, creating operational hazards or preventing safe equipment shutdown.
Installation of the toggle switch requires disconnecting power to the equipment and removing the control panel to access the switch terminals. Qualified technicians should carefully disconnect wiring, noting terminal positions and center detent function before removal, then install the replacement switch with proper torque on electrical connections. Maintenance involves periodically checking toggle movement for smoothness and verifying the center detent position remains firm and spring-loaded to ensure safe operation.
