The Shielded Tip Only, Propane Gas (Part# 226914) is a genuine OEM Town Food Service replacement part for use in Town jet, shield, and volcano style range burners. Replacement tips let a worn burner be brought back to full output without replacing the entire burner assembly. This shielded burner tip is drilled for propane gas and threads into Town shield burner bodies as a direct replacement.

Burner tips are the hardest-working component of the burner assembly and gradually clog with carbon, grease, and mineral deposits despite routine cleaning. A tip that can no longer be cleared with a cleaning drill, or that shows erosion or thread damage, will produce a weak, yellow, or distorted flame and reduce the burner's total heat output.

Tip replacement is a simple task with the gas supply shut off: unthread the worn tip from the burner body, apply a pipe thread compound rated for fuel gas service, and thread in the new Shielded Tip Only, Propane Gas. Light the burner and verify a clean, blue flame at the new tip before returning the unit to service.
