PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Town Food Service 249002 is an original Town Food Service replacement component designed for commercial wok ranges, stockpots, and rice equipment, helping maintain heat control, safety, and durability in busy kitchens.

Details
The 1/2 in Safety Valve, Pilot Out (TS11K) With Body (Part# 249002) is a genuine OEM Town Food Service replacement part for use in Town gas ranges and cooking equipment. The safety valve works with the thermocouple to shut off gas flow automatically if the pilot flame is lost, preventing unburned gas from accumulating in the kitchen. This 1/2-inch TS11K-type safety valve with pilot-out connection and body provides flame-failure protection on Town gas cooking equipment.
Safety valve failure is most often caused by a worn electromagnet that can no longer hold the valve open, internal seat wear, or contamination. The classic symptom is a pilot that lights but will not stay lit after the button is released, even after the thermocouple has been replaced. A valve that will not hold should never be bypassed.
Safety valve service must be performed by a qualified service technician with the gas supply shut off. Disconnect the gas piping, pilot tubing, and thermocouple lead, install the new 1/2 in Safety Valve, Pilot Out (TS11K) With Body in the same orientation, and reconnect all lines. Leak-test every joint, then light the pilot and verify that the valve holds gas flow open with the pilot lit and shuts off properly when the pilot is extinguished.
