The Small/Medium Rear Caster Set, 4 in Diameter, 2 With Brake (Part# 250510) is a genuine OEM Town Food Service replacement part for use in Town ranges and cooking equipment. Heavy Town ranges are commonly mounted on casters or feet so the equipment can be positioned properly and pulled away from the wall for the deep cleaning that fire codes and health inspections require. This rear caster set for small and medium Town ranges includes two 4-inch diameter casters with brakes.
Casters and feet carry heavy static loads in a wet, greasy environment. Replace them when wheels no longer roll or swivel freely, brakes will not hold, stems or plates show bending or cracking, or corrosion has set in. A failed caster makes heavy equipment dangerous to move.
Replacement requires safely raising the range with appropriate lifting equipment and supports. Remove the old hardware, install the new Small/Medium Rear Caster Set, 4 in Diameter, 2 With Brake in its place, and tighten all fasteners. With the range back on the floor, verify that it sits level and stable, that casters roll and lock properly, and that the gas connector and restraint cable are correctly attached before returning it to position.
