The Pitco Tube Screen 11-1/2 X 11-1/2 is a direct replacement sediment screen for Pitco commercial deep fryers. At 11-1/2 inches square, it fits within the fry vessel to intercept food debris and crumbs near the heating tubes, preventing accumulation on the tube surfaces and the vessel floor. Using the correct screen size ensures a proper fit that covers the intended area without gaps that allow debris to bypass the screen.
Over time, the original tube screen can become blocked with packed crumb deposits and carbonized oil residue, or its woven mesh can fail from corrosion or mechanical damage during cleaning. A compromised screen allows fine food particles to reach the heating tubes where they carbonize, contributing to oil degradation, bitter off-flavors in fried food, and thermal stress on the tube metal. Replacing it with this screen restores the designed crumb-capture zone, keeping the oil cleaner and the heating surfaces free of carbonized debris.
Installation is tool-free — the screen simply drops into its designated position within the fry vessel. It is recommended to remove and rinse the screen at every oil change and replace it when mesh damage, persistent clogging, or visible corrosion is observed.
