The Pitco Tube Screen is a direct replacement protective screen for Pitco gas commercial fryers, designed to shield the burner tube assembly located beneath the fry pot from food particle contamination. By intercepting debris that falls through the oil during the frying process, the tube screen prevents carbonization on the burner surfaces, which would otherwise reduce heat transfer efficiency and create a fire risk. Over time, tube screens deteriorate from prolonged exposure to high heat and corrosive oil vapors, leading to warping, rust-through, or mesh openings that become enlarged and no longer effective. When the screen fails, food particles reach the burner tubes and bake on, reducing the burner's heating capacity and requiring more frequent and labor-intensive cleaning cycles.
