The bottom element operates alongside the magnetron microwave energy and the impinged hot-air jetplate to provide simultaneous bottom-surface heating, ensuring food products receive consistent heat from all directions for uniform texture and coloration. Bottom element failure in the Encore most commonly results from thermal shock caused by food soil accumulation on the element sheath—which creates localized hot spots—combined with gradual resistance wire oxidation that ultimately causes an open-circuit condition.
