The Pitco Union Tee 1/4 is a direct replacement 1/4-inch union tee fitting for Pitco commercial fryer gas or liquid plumbing circuits. This three-way tee fitting allows a single supply line to split into two branch lines — or two lines to merge into one — while its union design enables the fitting to be assembled and disassembled without disturbing connected piping. Using the correct union tee ensures the correct 1/4-inch flow paths and thread specifications needed for leak-free integration into the fryer's plumbing circuit.
Over time, the original union tee can develop thread wear at any of its three connection points, corrosion of the fitting body, or damage to the union sealing surface, any of which can cause leaks at this critical branching point. A leaking union tee in a gas circuit creates a safety hazard, while a leaking oil circuit tee wastes cooking oil and creates slip hazards. Replacing it with this union tee restores three sound threaded connections and an intact union sealing face, eliminating leaks at the branch point.
