The Pitco Water Valve 3/8" is a direct replacement solenoid water valve for Pitco commercial fryers and pasta cookers. It controls the flow of water into the cooking vessel, opening and closing on command from the unit's control system. Using the correct valve ensures a leak-free seal and reliable actuation under continuous commercial use.
Over time, the original water valve can develop internal leaks or fail to open and close properly due to mineral scale buildup, corrosion, or wear on the solenoid coil and diaphragm. A faulty valve may result in insufficient water supply, uncontrolled flooding of the vessel, or complete loss of automatic fill function. Installing the replacement valve restores precise water flow control and eliminates those failure modes.
The valve installs in-line on the 3/8" water supply fitting and requires basic hand tools and a brief shutdown for line depressurization. It is recommended to inspect the water valve annually or whenever erratic fill behavior is observed. Pairing this valve replacement with a flush of the supply line and inspection of the inlet screen will give the water system full reliability.
